Anyone downloading these illusions must give credit to, the illusion contest, the neural correlate society, and the creator(s) of the illusion. Furthermore, if you download any illusions, they are not to be disclosed to anyone until AFTER the contest which occurs May 14th at 5 pm. About the files. Each folder in the zip file will be for one of the finalists (the name of the folder corresponds to the the last name of the author). The files in each folder will contain a description of the illusion (i.e. what is the illusion and what are the possible causes) and a demonstration of it. The files come in all different formats (most of which you should be able to just click on to open):
- There are movies (.mov, .avi, .flv) use quicktime and/or windows media player for these (try both if one doesn’t work).
- Use adobe reader for the pdf’s.
- Just click on the files which are internet short cuts, .txt files, or .html files.
- Open the .swf files with internet explorer.
- You need powerpoint for the .ppt files and word for the .doc files.
